When you work out you sweat. When you sweat, you lose more than just fluids, you lose electrolytes too. So to stay properly hydrated, prevent cramps, and keep your body functioning at it’s best, it’s important to replace these electrolytes, particularly potassium and sodium.
NOOMA uses a couple real, functional ingredients to deliver these electrolytes. Organic coconut water provides 330mg of potassium and natural sea salt gives 110mg of sodium. Our electrolytes come from the earth, never artificial blends.
We’re committed to using only the best ingredients. For us, that means organic. When you take a look at one of our ingredient labels, you’ll see no more than six simple ingredients you can trust and pronounce.
Along with the organic coconut water and sea salt, we use organic flavors and a touch of organic stevia leaf extract to add a hint of sweetness. That’s it. We don't use any artificial sweeteners, flavors, preservatives or colors.
NO ADDED SUGAR
We consider the decision to avoid adding sugar to be one of our most important and differentiating. All 5 grams of sugar in NOOMA come naturally from the organic coconut water. We believe this decision is better for consumer health, and it allows the entire bottle to have only 30 calories.
Sugar-sweetened beverages, like traditional sports drinks, are the number one source of calories in the American diet. No added sugar is a key component of what makes NOOMA great.
Drinks like NOOMA that have a lower concentration of carbohydrates (i.e. sugar) are more easily absorbed by your body. This rapid delivery of electrolytes allows you to rehydrate faster.
Traditional sports drinks extremely heavy in sugar may cause your body to work harder to absorb electrolytes. In turn, it can take you longer to rehydrate.
